RACK STORAGE
Most businesses operate 24 hours a day. Hence, well-designed and energy-e cient lighting
plays an important role in ensuring uniform illumination so that operations take place
safely and smoothly.
Rack storage areas are large open spaces with high ceilings. Goods are stacked vertically
on the racks which are adjacent to one another with typical aisle distance of 2.5 metres.
That is why special care is taken to ensure vertical illumination depending on the height
and width of the gangways.
Recommended Standards
• Lux Levels: Horizontal - 200lux; Vertical - >100lux
• Mounting Height: 7-8m
• Aisle Width: 2.5m
